CINCINNATI — The Procter & Gamble Co. expanded its Home Café line with the launch of new specialty cappuccino, latte and tea pod varieties and new appliances from the Krups and Mr. Coffee brands. The new machines build upon Home Café’s 2004 introduction of the Black & Decker and Mr. Coffee single cup brewers, designed to recreate the taste and aroma of coffeehouse-style coffee in the home.

Home Café uses individual coffee, specialty and tea pods to produce single servings of fresh brewed, coffeehouse-style beverages in about a minute. Folgers cappuccino, Skinny Vanilla Latte and Lipton tea pods are expected to be popular additions to an already extensive selection of black coffee pods exclusively from Folgers, the company said.

Folgers cappuccino and Skinny Vanilla Latte, which contains 60 calories and 3 grams of fat per 7-oz serving, will be available at supermarkets and mass merchandise outlets nationwide in September with a suggested retail price of $4.99 for an eight-count pack.

Lipton citrus blossom, a green tea, as well as black tea pod varieties, including vanilla hazelnut, raspberry truffle and English estate, will be available at supermarkets and mass merchandise outlets nationwide in September with a suggested retail price of $ 3.99 to $4.99 for a 20-count pack.

Along with specialty beverages and tea, Home Cafe is also expanding its extensive line of black coffees with the introduction of Folgers hazelnut and Millstone hazelnut cream decaf. Future pod introductions will include mocha and cocoa.

The company also is introducing a new Krups Home Café machine with two independent pod holders that allows consumers to choose to brew one or two individual cups of coffee or tea. Krups Home Café has a suggested retail price of $119.99 and is currently available at specialty and department stores.

The new Mr. Coffee Home Café accommodates several cup-sizes, features a swiveling, removable water reservoir for convenience and offers an adjustable brewing spout to fit most cups and travel mugs. The Mr. Coffee Home Cafe appliance has a suggested retail price of $79.99 and will be available at mass merchandise outlets in September.
