GOSHEN, IND. — Troyer Foods, Inc., a broad line food distributor, entered into an agreement to acquire Beasley Food Service, a distributor based in Bloomington, Ind., that specializes in fresh produce, for $17 million.

Once the transaction is complete, Beasley will operate as a division of Troyer’s. Charlie Beasley will remain chief operating officer of the division.

The acquisition will be Troyer’s third in the past three years. Two years ago the company acquired Sure Fine Foods, Evansville, Ind., and last year it acquired Cadick Foods, Rockport, Ind. Troyer’s Foods has estimated annual sales of $160 million.
