SEATTLE — Organic To Go announced it has acquired the Sunflowers Café and Bakery in La Jolla, Calif., and will convert the location into an Organic To Go cafe. The move marks Organic To Go’s second acquisition in two months, and brings to 19 the total number of Organic To Go cafes. The company entered the San Diego region — its fourth — in July.

Organic To Go is the nation’s first casual cafe chain to be certified as an organic retailer. Organic To Go’s locations may be found in multi-tenant office buildings, corporate campuses, college campuses and at Los Angeles International Airport. The company’s business model includes retail, delivery and wholesale operations.
