MARSHALL, MINN. — The Schwan Food Co., one of the largest providers of branded frozen food, said it will cut 78 positions companywide, including 67 jobs at its Marshall headquarters.

According to Schwan, the cuts, which represent less than a half a per cent of its overall workforce of 20,000, reflect a competitive frozen food industry.

In addition to the job cuts, Schwan said it will sell one of its corporate aircrafts and close the Red Baron Museum in Marshall at the end of October. The Red Baron Squadron aerobatics team, which was linked to the museum, was grounded earlier this year.
