LAKEVILLE-MIDDLEBORO, MASS. — Richard Lees has been promoted to senior vice-president and chief financial officer of Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. He will succeed Tim Chan, who will retire Sept. 1. Mr. Chan has been the c.f.o. of Ocean Spray since 2000.

Mr. Lees most recently was vice-president of finance and treasury, and he led the financial planning and analysis department for the last four years at Ocean Spray as well as the treasury function for the last nine months. Earlier, he was vice-president and controller of the Pillsbury Co., c.f.o. of Dannon North America and vice-president of finance for Gillette North America.

“I cannot think of a better executive to lead the next generation of financial strategy and success for this cooperative,” said Randy Papadellis, president and chief executive officer. “Rick’s successful stewardship of the financial planning department for the last four years has led to our success in planning and executing our financial plans. Tim Chan will be working closely with Rick and the finance team over the coming months to ensure a complete and seamless transition of the leadership of the department to both internal and external constituencies.”
