Several to new posts at Hormel Foods

AUSTIN, MINN. — Steven G. Binder and Jody H. Feragen have been named executive vice-president of refrigerated foods, and executive vice-president and chief financial officer, respectively, of Hormel Foods Corp.

“Steve and Jody have extensive knowledge of our business and help develop and execute our strategic direction daily,” said Jeffrey M. Ettinger, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer. “These promotions recognize their hard work and dedication to the company.”

Ms. Feragen will oversee all financial areas at the company. She joined Hormel in 2000 as treasurer and was promoted to vice-president and treasurer, vice-president of finance and treasurer, and then senior vice-president and chief financial officer.

Mr. Binder joined the company in 1979 and has been promoted through sales and management positions in food service and meat products. Currently, he is vice-president of refrigerated foods.

Also, Ronald W. Fielding has been named executive vice-president of corporate strategy, planning and development; Thomas R. Day has been promoted to group vice-president of food service; and James M. Splinter has been named group vice-president of Grocery Products.
