PURCHASE, N.Y. — Albert Carey has been named chief executive officer of PepsiCo Americas Beverages. Most recently, he was president and c.e.o. of Frito-Lay North America since 2006 and has been with PepsiCo, Inc. for 30 years.

“Al’s highly collaborative leadership style, deep knowledge of our beverage business in North America and his past leadership of our ‘Power of One’ strategy make him the right choice to lead this flagship business,” said Indra Nooyi, c.e.o. of PepsiCo, Inc. “I am looking forward to working with Al in his new role and taking our beverage business in Americas to new levels of success.”

Massimo d’Amore, who had been leading PepsiCo Beverages Americas, will still have responsibility for the North American Gatorade and Tropicana businesses and the Latin American beverage business, and he will continue to lead the Global Beverages Group. Tom Greco will fill Mr. Carey’s previous position of president of Frito-Lay North America.
