WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — The Dannon Company is introducing two new products — YoCream Greek Frozen Yogurt soft serve mix and Dannon Ready-to-Serve Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt Parfait.

“Greek yogurt is the No. 1 yogurt segment in the fresh market right now, driving 104% of yogurt category growth in 2011,” said Yann Audebert, vice-president of The Dannon Co., and head of the food service division. “This is important for operators to keep in mind when marketing to consumers who are seeking flavorful and nutritious alternatives. YoCream Greek Frozen Yogurt is such an innovative product because it’s thick and creamy texture makes it a great snack or dessert. It is perfect for any stage of a busy day, making it an ideal offering for operators looking to maximize all daypart opportunities.”

The yogurt parfait includes crunchy granola, low-fat yogurt, and a strawberry fruit blend.

“Dannon Ready-to-Serve Yogurt Parfait is an operator’s answer to the yogurt parfait trend, and it delivers operational efficiency,” Mr. Audebert said. “The Dannon Yogurt Parfait also works with existing store-made parfait programs for on-the-go stations as well as supplementing sales during off-peak hours.”

The company will feature both products at the upcoming National Restaurant Association trade show in Chicago.
