July soybean crush up 1% from year ago

WASHINGTON — Soybean crushings in July came in at 150,595,194 bus, up 1% from July 2006, the U.S. Census Bureau said in its latest Fats and Oils — Oilseed Crushings report (click here to read report).

The July crush number was above trade expectations that averaged just over 149 million bus.

Soybean oil stocks at the end of July totaled 3,246,337,000 lbs, up 5% from 3,106,087,000 lbs a year ago and below average trade estimates near 3.3 billion lbs.

Soybean meal and hull stocks on July 31 were 318,153 tons, down 15% from 372,601 tons last year.
