Philadelphia mayor signs nutrition legislation

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter on Thursday signed legislation that will require fast-food and chain restaurants with 15 or more stores to disclose the nutrition content of the foods they serve. The law, which will take effect Jan. 1, 2010, follows similar legislation in New York City, California and elsewhere.
