Lemon in the spotlight
Pucker up to this sunny citrus fruit, which is adding a brightness to dressings, sauces and desserts. Lemon is healthy, pure and nostalgic, with ties to Mediterranean cuisine, said Kazia Jankowski, associate culinary director for Sterling-Rice Group.
“It has that combination of healthy Americana but also that global sensibility,” she said. “I think we can expect to see lemon as a flavor, as an ingredient and featured in all kinds of different ways.”
