Dave Burwick to join Peet's as president, c.e.o.

EMERYVILLE, CALIF. — Dave Burwick has been named president and chief executive officer of Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Inc., effective Dec. 31. He will succeed Patrick O’Dea, who will step down after more than 10 years as president and c.e.o. Mr. O’Dea will continue as a member of the board of directors.

“Peet’s is extremely fortunate to have been led by Pat these last 10 years,” said Olivier Goudet, chairman of Peet’s board of directors. “The company is very well positioned for the future, and we look forward to Pat’s continued contribution as a member of the board.”

Mr. Burwick has more than 20 years of beverage and retail experience, most recently as president of North America for Weight Watchers International. Prior to Weight Watchers, he worked for more than 20 years at PepsiCo in senior executive roles, including senior vice-president and chief marketing officer of PepsiCo North America Beverages and president of Pepsi-Quaker-Tropicana-Gatorade Canada.
