Starbucks names head marketing executive

SEATTLE — Starbucks Coffee Co. has named Sharon Rothstein as global chief marketing officer. Ms. Rothstein is currently vice-president of marketing at Sephora, a beauty retailer.

“Sharon’s forward-thinking brand sensibility and global cross-channel marketing expertise will continue to push us toward our aspiration of building one of the world’s most relevant, trusted and enduring brands,” said Howard Schultz, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Starbucks.

Ms. Rothstein will begin in her new role on April 15.
