ST. LOUIS — Post Holdings, Inc. said a company-owned chicken flock in Nebraska that tested positive for avian influenza in May has been released from quarantine by the U.S. Department of Agriculture after several rounds of subsequent tests “did not confirm the presumptive positive.” Post said the U.S.D.A. released the flock on June 18, a move that lowered the company’s total affected egg supply within its Michael Foods egg business to about 25% of its annualized egg volume commitments, down from a reported 35% in late May.
