Cal-Maine Foods names v.p. of operations

Cal-Maine Foods produces, grades, packs and sells conventional, cage-free, organic and nutritionally enhanced eggs.

JACKSON, MISS. — Michael Ermon has been named vice-president of operations at Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. In his new role, Mr. Ermon will oversee the company’s production and processing facilities in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas, and Chase, Kas. Mr. Ermon also serves on the operations committee for the company’s Red River Valley Egg Farm joint venture in Texas. He will report to Sherman Miller, chief operating officer of Cal-Maine Foods.

An employee of Cal-Maine Foods since 2004, Mr. Ermon most recently was operations director of the company’s operations in Farwell and Pittsburg, Texas. He also has served as general manager in Farwell and in Greensburg, La. He has a bachelor’s degree in animal science from Louisiana State University.

“We are pleased to announce this promotion for Michael Ermon, who has been a dedicated employee of Cal-Maine Foods for over 11 years,” said Dolph Baker, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Cal-Maine Foods. “Michael is already very familiar with our operations and customers in Texas, and he has clearly demonstrated his leadership capabilities in managing our day-to-day operations.
