A.F.F.I. hires Bodor as new president and c.e.o.

Alison Bodor succeeds Kraig R. Naasz as president and c.e.o. of the American Frozen Food Institute.

MCLEAN, VA. — Alison Bodor has been named president and chief executive officer of the American Frozen Food Institute (A.F.F.I.), effective May 16. She succeeds Kraig R. Naasz, who left the association at the end of 2015 to become president and c.e.o. of the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States. Joseph Clayton has been serving the A.F.F.I. as interim president.

“The American Frozen Food Institute is extremely pleased to welcome Alison Bodor as the new leader of the institute,” said Larry Cope, chairman of the A.F.F.I. board. “We are excited to begin this new chapter for A.F.F.I., and believe Alison’s extensive public policy and leadership experience will further strengthen our efforts on behalf of frozen food and beverage makers.”

Ms. Bodor most recently was executive vice-president of the National Confectioners Association (N.C.A.). In this capacity, she oversaw the N.C.A.’s legislative, regulatory and research priorities around health, food safety and quality, agriculture and trade policy, and the cocoa supply chain.

Prior to joining the N.C.A. in 2000, Ms. Bodor held positions in domestic and international regulatory compliance at McCormick & Company, Inc. and the U.S. Dairy Export Council. She also spent four years conducting dietary risk assessments for the food and beverage industries with Technical Assessment Systems and then Environ International Corp.

Ms. Bodor received a bachelor’s degree in food science from Cornell University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland.
