General Mills will close a facility in Vineland, N.J., that manufactures Progresso soup.

MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills, Inc. said it will close a facility in Vineland, N.J., that manufactures Progresso soup in the first quarter of fiscal-year 2018, which would cover the months of June, July and August in 2017.

General Mills has completed union negotiations and now will begin the reviewing processes to transition production to other U.S. facilities. Closing the plant will affect about 370 employees. Minneapolis-based General Mills will provide severance and transition benefits.

General Mills has operated in Vineland since 2001. The company on July 21 of this year announced a tentative decision to close the facility in Vineland but said the decision was subject to negotiation with union officials.
