CAMDEN, N.J. — Ed Carolan has been tapped to be the next president of the Campbell Soup Co.’s C-Fresh business unit. Mr. Carolan is succeeding Jeff Dunn, who is leaving the company to become chief executive officer of Juicero, Inc., San Francisco.

“Ed is an excellent leader who has played a critical role as we pursue Campbell’s strategic imperatives and transform the way we work,” said Denise Morrison, president and chief executive officer. “He brings both strategic insights and deep experience as a hands-on operator with a long track record of delivering outstanding business results. In his new role, he will be supported by a strong and seasoned leadership team at C-Fresh. I am confident that Ed and the team will continue to expand our presence in the faster-growing packaged fresh category.”

Mr. Carolan joined the company in 2001 and has held a variety of positions with the company. Most recently, he was president of integrated global services (I.G.S.). Formed in January 2015, I.G.S. is Campbell Soup’s global shared services organization focused on building enterprise capabilities while lowering costs.

Jeff Dunn, Campbell Soup
Jeff Dunn, current president of Campbell Soup's C-Fresh unit, is leaving the company to become c.e.o. of Juicero.

Despite taking over as c.e.o. of Juicero, a start-up focused on developing products and services to help people consume more fruits and vegetables, Mr. Dunn will maintain some relationships with his former employer. The Campbell Soup Co. has invested $13.5 million in Juicero, and Mr. Dunn will remain involved in Acre Venture Partners, the venture capital endeavor that Campbell Soup has committed $125 million to in 2016.

“Jeff has made important contributions to Campbell during his time with the company,” Ms. Morrison said. “We wish him well as he embarks on a new and exciting chapter of his career, and I look forward to continuing to collaborate with him through Acre Venture Partners and in his new role at Juicero.”
