LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. — Steven T. Liedtke has been named chief information officer of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. In this role, he will oversee the information technology strategy and all related departmental operations and initiatives to support the company’s enterprise goals, Hain Celestial said.

Mr. Liedtke joins Hain Celestial from DanoneWave, where he was most recently c.i.o. for The WhiteWave Foods Co. for five years before it was acquired by Danone S.A. in April. Previously, he was segment c.i.o. at Dean Foods working in the WhiteWave, Morningstar and Alpro divisions. Before joining Dean, Mr. Liedtke spent more than 10 years working in leadership capacities in food service and technology companies, including Endicott Interconnect, Maines Paper & Food Service, Hawkeye Foodservice and Advanced FoodSystems.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Liedtke as chief information officer of Hain Celestial, with worldwide responsibility for all our Information Technology needs,” said James Langrock, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Hain Celestial. “Steve is an accomplished, results-driven information technology executive with over 20 years of experience in the food and beverage and consumer products industries. Steve’s contributions should be invaluable to Hain Celestial as we further strengthen our worldwide leadership team to support the next level of growth.”

Mr. Liedtke is the third executive from DanoneWave to announce a move to a new company this week. On Sept. 13, Greg Christenson, previous c.f.o. of WhiteWave for DanoneWave joined Amplify Snack Brands, Inc. as executive vice-president and c.f.o. On the same day, Craig Shiesley, previous president of Vega and the performance nutrition division at DanoneWave, joined Amplify as c.o.o. and president, North America.
