CHICAGO — Conagra Brands, Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, a manufacturer of frozen breakfast and entree flatbread sandwiches. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“Adding the Sandwich Bros. business to our portfolio is another step in Conagra Brands’ ongoing work to accelerate growth,” said Sean Connolly, president and chief executive officer of Conagra Brands. “This acquisition will bring Conagra unique capabilities and expertise within the frozen handheld category, which we look forward to leveraging for further growth and extension into additional Conagra brands.”

The Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin business has generated approximately $60 million in sales during the 12 months ended November 2017.

The snack category has been a core focus of Conagra’s merger and acquisition strategy in 2017. This past September, Conagra entered into an agreement to acquire Angie’s Boomchickapop. Earlier in the year, the company acquired Thanasi Foods L.L.C., the manufacturer and marketer of Duke’s branded meat snacks and Big Seeds.
