Bob Evans appoints new c.e.o.

NEW ALBANY, OHIO — Saed Mohseni has been named president and chief executive officer of Bob Evans Farms, Inc., effective Jan. 1. Mr. Mohseni also was appointed to the company’s board of directors. He currently is c.e.o. of Bravo Brio Restaurant Group Inc. and will remain with Bravo Brio through Dec. 28.

“Bob Evans is an iconic brand with a long track record of providing its restaurant guests with farm fresh food and outstanding service, while building a successful and expanding foods business,” Mr. Mohseni said. “I look forward to working with the dedicated people of Bob Evans to build on this foundation, providing an excellent experience for our guests, and opportunity for our employees, while sustainably improving margins and creating value for its shareholders.”

Mr. Mohseni brings more than 30 years of restaurant industry management experience to Bob Evans. Before joining Bravo Brio, he was c.e.o. and a director of McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants Inc., where he served in a variety of leadership roles since joining the company in 1986.

Search Committee conducted a careful, extensive review over many months and the board unanimously concluded that Saed was the right person to lead Bob Evans in fulfilling its potential. His energy, the depth of his knowledge of all aspects of the industry, and his ability to lead a team to perform at a higher level made him the standout candidate. We look forward to his joining us in January 2016.”
