Dana Benfield has been promoted to senior vice-president and c.m.o. of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, COLO. — Dana Benfield has been promoted to senior vice-president and chief marketing officer of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. Ms. Benfield was previously vice-president of marketing and menu innovation.

In her new role, Ms. Benfield will oversee Red Robin’s brand marketing and guest engagement teams as well as lead the company’s food and beverage and commercialization initiatives.

Ms. Benefield joined Red Robin in 2002 as national promotions manager. She was named director of loyalty and retention in 2007, vice-president of engagement marketing in 2012 and vice-president of marketing and menu innovation in 2015. Before joining Red Robin, Ms. Benefield was an account manager for Karsh & Hagan Advertising, where she managed Denver region marketing programs for McDonald’s. Previously, he worked for a McDonald’s franchisee in Tampa, Fla., in various roles ranging from restaurant management to marketing.

“Since joining Red Robin, Dana has eagerly taken on new responsibilities and grown into a trusted leader, developing a talented marketing team and making many valuable contributions to the company’s success,” said Johnathan Muhtar, executive vice-president and chief concept officer for Red Robin. “We’re looking forward to seeing Dana apply her leadership and marketing expertise as we guide the Red Robin brand to new heights.”
