Flour recall - Kellogg graham cracker crumbs, Lance oyster crackers, Tippin's key lime pie
Certain Lance brand oyster crackers, Kellogg graham crumbs, Tippin’s key lime pies, and Gardner Pie Co. cheesecakes and key lime pies have been recalled.

WASHINGTON — Oyster crackers, pies, cheesecake and graham cracker crumbs are among the products being recalled because of peanut residue in certain flour originating from Grain Craft.

Snyder’s-Lance, Inc., Charlotte, N.C., is issuing a voluntary recall for certain code dates of its Lance brand oyster crackers, while Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, Mich., is voluntarily recalling certain graham crumbs. Gardner Pie Co., Akron, Ohio, was prompted to recall cheesecakes and key lime pies sold in the company’s retail outlet store between April 11-June 14 after its supplier, Kellogg Co., recalled certain lots of graham crumbs made with flour that has the potential to contain low levels of peanut residue. Tippin’s Gourmet Pies, L.L.C., Kansas City, also voluntarily recalled select key lime pies for the same reason.

While consumers with severe peanut allergies should avoid the recalled product, the Food and Drug Administration has stated that the amount of peanut exposure from the flour is low and not expected to cause adverse health effects in the vast majority of peanut allergic consumers. None of the companies said they have received notice of related illness or allergic reactions involving the products, and all said the recalls were taken “out of an abundance of caution.”
