KARLSHAMN, SWEDEN — AAK has opened an innovation center in Shanghai, China, that will allow AAK’s customers to work with AAK personnel when developing new products. The new facility primarily will focus on chocolate and confectionery, bakery, and dairy.

“This is a breakthrough for the Chinese food industry,” said Rick Luo, general manager of AAK China. “The innovation center will be the leading center for specialty oils and fats for food and nutritional products. In this very dynamic market, we believe access to innovation is what makes the difference for the customers when they are choosing their partner for specialty oils and fats.”
