MAKAWAO, HAWAII — Flavor Waves, Inc., a custom flavor development company, has launched Cappuccino Crunch, a line of coffee-infused cereals.

The coffee cereals are made with 100% Arabica coffee beans from around the world, and are available in four flavors: Kona blend, mocha, cappuccino and chai spice. The cereals are all natural, gluten-free and cholesterol free.

Each of the cereals delivers 35 mg of caffeine per serving, which Cappuccino Crunch said is about 25% of the level of caffeine in a cup of coffee.

The cereals are available in 8-oz slender bags that resemble a bag of coffee grounds and sell for $5.99 on cappuccinocrunch.com. The cereal also is available in select retail outlets in Hawaii.

Mike Abrams is president of Flavor Waves, Inc. He received a food technology degree from The Ohio State University in 1980, and after graduation he went into food ingredient sales until 1988, when he joined the San Francisco office of C. In 1996 he formed Flavor Waves, and has since specialized in custom flavor development.
