CONCORD, MASS. – To bottle the benefits of oatmeal, Oatworks uses a proprietary ingredient developed by Swedish company Biovelop, who patented a process for extracting beta-glucan soluble fiber from oats into a colorless, taste-neutral powder.

Oatworks oat and fruit smoothies, in strawberry banana, pomegranate blueberry, and mango peach varieties, promises the heart-healthy effects of oats without the cooking, cleaning and “lumpy bits.” The product is also gluten-free.

Each smoothie contains 150 to 160 calories and 2 grams of fiber per 10.8-oz serving.
