PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Post Foods, L.L.C., is introducing Great Grains Protein Blend cereals in two varieties.

The cinnamon hazelnut flavor is made with whole grain wheat, barley, oats, hazelnuts and almonds and contains 7 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein per serving.

The honey, oats and seeds variety has cracked wheat, barley, pumpkin seeds, almonds and sunflower seeds and contains 6 grams of fiber and 8 grams of protein.

“As we age, the metabolism tends to naturally slow down and lead to weight gain, but there are steps we can take to help maintain a healthy metabolism, including eating a complete breakfast with protein and whole grain,” said Mark Izzo, vice-president of research, development and innovation at Post Foods. “Many people already enjoy the less processed ingredients in every box of Great Grains. We’re proud to introduce a protein-packed version with the added benefits.”
