KANSAS CITY — With Halloween on the horizon, restaurants are serving up spooky sweets and eerie eats to celebrate the harrowing holiday.

Krispy Kreme is getting in the scary spirit with its new Monster donuts. The terrifying treats are Kreme-filled shells dipped in electric purple or ghoulish green icing topped with white icing and sugar eyes in a variety of six monster faces.

Baskin-Robbins is introducing two new creepy cakes for Halloween: The Pinata Pumpkin Patch Cake and Oreo Cookie Halloween Cake. The Pinata Pumpkin Patch Cake, decorated like a jack-o-lantern, is an ice cream cake with a candy-filled center of M&Ms Minis. The Oreo Cookie Halloween Cake features the chain’s Oreo Cookie Cake decorated with orange frosting and topped with Halloween Oreo cookies with icing eyes.

To celebrate the sinister season, Johnny Rockets is offering the new Goosebumps Shake. Made with premium vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and milk, the shake is mixed with Oreo pieces and topped with whipped cream, an Oreo garnish, and gummy worms.
