NORWICH, N.Y. – Greek yogurt has been driving growth in the overall yogurt category, and Chobani is adding to its product portfolio in an effort to continue category growth.

The total yogurt category has grown 2.2% over the last 52 weeks, according to Nielsen data provided by Chobani. The Greek yogurt category has grown 4.6% in the past year.

Over the same period, Chobani’s market share in the overall yogurt category has grown to 17.6%. In the Greek yogurt category, Chobani’s share has risen to 33.4% in the past year.  To further enhance its position in the market, Chobani is launching 16 new products, including limited-edition varieties like Peppermint Perfection and sweet and spicy Flip flavors like Sriracha Mango. Four new Flip offerings will build on the line’s current success. Chobani Flip is the No. 1 brand in the segment with 38% share of total mix-in yogurts and over 50% of Greek mix-in varieties, according to Nielsen.
