BATTLE CREEK, MICH. — Snacks and breakfast foods are getting a big boost from The Kellogg Co.’s latest batch of new products.

Another Kellogg’s cereal, Rice Krispies, is getting a twist, too. Kellogg already is getting festive for Fourth of July with Rice Krispies cereal with red and blue Krispies.

Continuing its fun breakfast food offerings, Kellogg is launching soda-inspired Pop-Tarts. The toaster pastries are available in A&W Root Beer and Crush Orange flavors.

In the better-for-you breakfast segment, Kellogg’s Special K brand is launching its line of protein-packed Crustless Quiches. Offering 10 to 11 grams of protein per serving, the quiches are available in three varieties: Uncured ham, cheese, quinoa and peppers; mozzarella and asiago; and portabella, quinoa, Parmesan, asiago and kale.

Also providing a.m. protein, Kellogg’s MorningStar Farms brand is introducing MorningStar Farms Veggie Breakfast Sausage & Grain Patties. They feature a blend of veggie sausage with herbs and spices, steel cut oats and organic quinoa.

Quinoa also pops up in the snacks segment of Kellogg’s new product launches. The company’s Special K brand is launching its line of Special K Multigrain Crackers with Quinoa. Available in Sea Salt Original and Parmesan Sesame varieties, the crackers feature 14 grams of whole grain per serving, including whole wheat, quinoa, brown rice, millet and whole oat flour.

The new cracker offerings continue with Kellogg’s Cheez-It brand sandwich crackers available in Original Cheddar, Italian Four Cheese and Spicy Queso.

Kellogg’s Town House brand also unveiling new crackers. The brand is adding two new flatbread crisps flavors to its lineup: Tomato, basil and mozzarella, and spinach, artichoke and feta.

Special K is expanding one of its lines with new flavors. Dark chocolate pomegranate and coconut caramel flavors join the Special K Chewy Snack Bars family. The brand also is debuting Protein Trail Mix bars in two flavors: Chocolate peanut pecan and fruit and nut.

In the indulgent snacks segment, Kellogg’s Keebler brand is releasing Fudge Stripes Birthday Cake cookies. The treats consist of birthday cake-flavored cookies drizzled with white icing and topped with multi-colored sprinkles.
