Slideshow: New menu items from Wendy's, Qdoba, Jason's Deli

KANSAS CITY — Greens are gaining steam on menus, with new seasonal salads sprouting up in several restaurant chains.

Wendy’s is serving a new Strawberry Mango Chicken Salad. The summer offering features mangoes, cut strawberries, all-white meat grilled chicken breast, crumbled feta cheese, sunflower seeds and Marzetti Simply Dressed honey citrus vinaigrette on a bed of lettuce.

Qdoba’s new Fire-Roasted Shrimp Salad features Fire-Roasted Shrimp tossed with sweetened pineapple pico, guacamole and cilantro lime dressing on a bed of lettuce all served in a crunchy fried shell.

Jason’s Deli is launching the new Salmon Pacifica Salad, including wild-caught Alaska sockeye salmon served on USDA certified organic field greens topped with chopped avocado, grape tomatoes, fire-roasted Piquillo peppers, cucumbers, pickled red onions and cucumber-dill vinaigrette.

Denny’s new Chopped Kale & Grilled Chicken Salad features grilled and seasoned chicken breast, feta cheese, dried cranberries and honey roasted sliced almonds on top of chopped kale served with a sweet and tangy dressing.

Brio Tuscan Grille’s Grilled Branzino & Summer Panzanella Salad features grilled Mediterranean sea bass with arugula, cucumber, tomato, grilled red pepper, chickpeas, red onion, croutons, feta cheese and a red wine vinaigrette.
