The EasyFlav technology from Glanbia Nutritionals has been shown to reduce the bitter and green flavor notes in the company’s HarvestPro pea protein.

FITCHBURG, WIS. — The EasyFlav technology from Glanbia Nutritionals has been shown to reduce the bitter and green flavor notes in the company’s HarvestPro pea protein, according to Glanbia Nutritionals. The technology may allow formulators to reduce their use of flavor maskers and achieve up to 30% reduction in flavor use.

HarvestPro pea protein 83 is more than 83% protein. It is allergen-free, gluten-free, non-bioengineered and kosher. HarvestPro pea protein 83 may be used in such applications as bars, cereal, clusters and baked foods.

“We anticipate our new ingredient will save both time and cost for manufacturers while delivering great tasting protein in the types of products more consumers desire,” said Danielle Black, product manager at Glanbia Nutritionals.
