Sunny Delight names new director, global new business development

CINCINATTI — The Sunny Delight Beverages Co. has named Eric Meyer director, global new business development. He will be responsible for qualifying, sequencing and prioritizing the company’s upstream innovations and new product efforts on a global basis.
"We are a growth company," said Billy Cyr, president and chief executive of Sunny Delight. "Innovations will play a large role in helping us achieve that growth. Under Eric Meyer’s leadership we expect to strengthen our base business as well as stretch the Sunny Delight brand into new segments."
Mr. Meyer spent the last three years as director, new business development of Sara Lee’s U.S. foods dinner division and R.&D. director. Previously, he spent 22 years at Procter & Gamble in research and development. While there, he worked on numerous product initiatives, including the national introduction of Sunny Delight fortified with calcium.
Sunny Delight Beverages Co. is a leading producer of juice-based drinks in North America and Western Europe. The company was formed from brands acquired from Procter & Gamble in 2004.
