RYE BROOK, N.Y. — Snapple has added red tea to its line of ready-to-drink teas launched in 2006. The line features several flavors, including acai mixed berry, peach pomegranate and mandarin tangerine.
"We’ve seen green and white tea explode in popularity in 2006 because of their functional benefits and antioxidant contents," said Bryan Mazur, vice-president of marketing for Snapple. "We have great expectations for red tea to have a business impact."
Available nationwide in 17.5-oz bottle, the beverage’s suggested retail price is $1.39.
