Coca-Cola North America restructures

ATLANTA — Coca-Cola North America has created a new operating model with three new business units — sparkling beverages, still beverages and emerging brands.

At the head of each of the business units will be a president and general manager. The leadership of the sparkling beverages has yet to be announced and will be responsible for the three primary Coca-Cola brands in addition to sparkling beverages, the company said.

Brian Kelley will be president and general manager of the still beverages unit. Previously he was chief executive officer of SIRVA.

Deryck Van Rensburg is the new president and general manager of the emerging brands business unit. Previously he was president of Coca-Cola’s Germany and Nordic division. This business unit will work with developing brands, including the recently acquired FUZE brand.

In addition, Coca-Cola announced several other executive changes. Katie Bayne has been named C.C.N.A. chief marketing officer – strategic marketing. Ms. Bayne most recently was senior vice-president, Coca-Cola brands, for C.C.N.A.

Melody Justice has been named to the new role of executive vice president of business transformation. In this role, Ms. Justice will be responsible for leading the areas of the business that drive and support transformational change across the Coca-Cola organization.
