ATLANTA — The Coca-Cola Co. announced it has added to its Powerade line with the launch of Powerade Zero, a zero-calorie sports drink available in three flavors: mixed berry, grape and strawberry.
According to Coca-Cola, Powerade "features important sports drink attributes without the calories, including a purposeful mix of electrolytes: potassium (to aid muscle and nerve function) and sodium (just enough to stimulate thirst and promote consumption, thus leading to proper hydration)." In addition, the product includes essential B vitamins.
Each 8-oz serving of Powerade Zero includes 55 mg of sodium and 35 mg of potassium, with no calories, fat, carbohydrates or protein.
