WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Nick Krzyzaniak has been named president and general manager of Danone Waters of America (D.W.A.). He succeeds Elio Pacheco, who has been promoted within Danone to general manager of the evian Volvic Export Business Unit. Both roles will be effective Jan. 1, 2010.

Mr. Krzyzaniak, who currently is the managing director of Danone Waters U.K. and Ireland Ltd., will return to the United States, where he formerly held the positions of senior vice-president of sales, as well as executive vice-president of commercial development for The Dannon Co., Inc., also a Danone subsidiary.

“Nick’s impressive management of Danone Waters U.K. and Ireland, Ltd. positioned Danone as a brand leader within the business unit and increased volume sales within a highly competitive landscape,” said Martin Renaud, president of evian Volvic International. “We are thrilled Nick is returning to the U.S. given his knowledge of the North American market and background working with Dannon U.S.”

In his new role as general manager of the evian Volvic Export Business Unit, Mr. Pacheco will be responsible for Southern Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South and Central America, the Caribbean and French overseas territories. He also will oversee the Evian Brumisateur facial spray business worldwide.”
