Premier Beverage Group to buy energy brands

NEW YORK — Premier Beverage Group will purchase certain beverage brands and operating programs after entering into an agreement with Universal Brands Corp. Premier Beverage Group will add Monsoon and CareOne Energy Booster to its brand inventory, said Fouad Kallammi, president of Premier.
Monsoon, an energy drink packaged in a 16-oz aluminum can, is offered in both original and sugar-free flavors. It may be found at about 100 Roundy’s Supermarkets in the Midwest operating under the banners Pick n Save, Metro Market and Marianos. CareOne Energy Booster, a 2-oz energy shot, is found at more than 375 Stop & Shop stores in New England, New York and New Jersey.
New York-based Premier Beverage Group, a holding company, has agreed to purchase the assets, including trademarks, operating programs and certain inventory, in return for a $200,000 promissory note and the issuance of 1,000,000 restricted shares of its common stock. Premier Beverage Group owns, develops, markets and distributes high-end premium functional beverages through its subsidiary, OSO Beverages.
