Lallemand joins Levadura Azteca in cream yeast alliance

MEXICO CITY — Levadura Azteca, S.A. de C.V. and Lallemand, Inc. have entered an agreement covering the supply and marketing of cream yeast in Mexico with Lallemand’s technology. The agreement also extends to cover other areas, including yeast production and distribution, a move that will allow both parties to share best practices in order to improve efficiencies and products.

Levadura Azteca is a bakery yeast producer operating in Mexico City and selling nationwide mainly under the Azteca and Leviatan brands.

Montreal-based Lallemand Inc. is a yeast producer in North America operating yeast plants in Canada, the United States, South Africa and several European countries.
