NutraCea inks product distribution deal with Med-Chem

EL DORADO HILLS, CALIF. — NutraCea, a leader in stabilized rice bran research and technology, announced it has signed an agreement with Aukland, New Zealand-based Med-Chem Ingredients under which Med-Chem will distribute NutraCea’s stabilized rice bran functional food ingredients in Australia and New Zealand.
"Med-Chem is excited about this new partnership with NutraCea and the synergy of its products with our existing portfolio of products," said Neshar Mohammed, business development manager of Med-Chem. "We expect that the relationship with NutraCea, who, like Med-Chem, has a strong focus on customer service and a desire to succeed, will add value to our core ‘health and wellness’ strategy that is targeted toward the food and nutraceuticals markets in Australia and New Zealand."
Med-Chem has a strong relationship with many of the food manufacturers in both Australia and New Zealand and is an approved supplier to many food and beverage companies, including Masterfoods, Nestle Oceania, Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co., Frito-Lay, Inc., The Kellogg Co., Cadbury Schweppes and The Coca-Cola Co.
