CHICAGO — Quaker Oats, a PepsiCo, Inc. brand, has introduced Life Chocolate Oat Crunch, a chocolate-flavored cereal that has healthy attributes. For example, each serving contains 2 servings of whole grains, 3 grams of fiber and 10 vitamins and minerals. The product’s healthy attributes qualify it as a Smart Spot food choice.
The new product has been added to Quaker’s Life line, which also features cinnamon, honey graham and vanilla yogurt crunch flavors.
"Consumers have told us they want a health cereal that also satisfied their chocolate cravings," said Regan Ebert, Quaker Foods vice-president of marketing. "We created Life Chocolate Oat Crunch as a health indulgence with a grown up taste."
The product is available nationwide and has a suggested retail price of $3.49.
