Oh Boy! Oberto creates 100-calorie meat snacks

SEATTLE — Oh Boy! Oberto has created a new 100-calorie meat snack. The company is introducing the new snacks as a way of capitalizing on the recent consumer trend for portion controlled, nutritious snacks.
New 100 Calorie Original Beef Jerky Bites and 100 Calorie Teriyaki Turkey Jerky Bites are high in protein, with 13 and 12 grams of protein per 100 calories, respectively. In addition, the products contain 0 grams of trans fat, 0.5 grams of saturated fat or less and have 1.5 grams of total fat or less per package.
The 100 Calorie Oh Boy! Oberto meat snacks also carry PepsiCo’s Smart Spot symbol, which identifies those products that meet the company’s nutrition criteria, which are based upon authoritative statements from the Food and Drug Administration and the Institute of Medicine.
The new 100-calorie snacks are available nationwide at grocery, mass merchandise and convenience stores for $1.99 per package.
