NORWALK, CONN. — Bear Naked Inc. will begin offering additional healthy snacks this month as its granola products will become available in different package sizes and configurations.
The expanded product line comes as a result of working to accommodate consumer and retailer requests for healthy snacks.
Tyler Ricks, senior vice-president of sales and marketing for Bear Naked, said the company is driving granola category growth, which he attributes to its expanded use as a snack. Mr. Ricks also said Bear Naked’s goal is to partner with retailers that would like to offer more healthy options in the checkout line.
To this end, the display of Bear Naked’s has an expanded display at Shaw’s.
"Our customers want healthy foods so we’re making it easier and more convenient for them to find Bear Naked products by stocking them in additional areas of the supermarket," said John Reppucci, assistant category manager for Shaw’s.
Bear Naked offers the following products: a variety pack consisting of 12 2-oz bags in three flavors; a 1.35-oz single-portion snack-pack available in two flavors; a six-pack of 1.35-oz snack-packs available in two flavors; a 5-oz re-sealable bag available in two flavors; and a 2-oz re-sealable bag available in four flavors.
