Jensen and Wakeman promoted at Roman Meal

TACOMA, WASH. — Gary Jensen has been promoted to president of the Roman Meal Co., and Sheri Wakeman has been elected corporate treasurer. The promotions were announced by Charles Matthaei, chairman.
William Matthaei remains chief executive officer of Roman Meal.
Mr. Jensen joined Roman Meal in 2004 as executive vice-president and chief operating officer. With the promotion, Mr. Jensen will be responsible for directing and implementing the company’s strategy and business plans domestically and abroad. He also will retain responsibility for sales, marketing, quality assurance, research and development and new product development.
"Gary has led us to focused new product development and has clearly set forth our goals for the future," Mr. Matthaei said.
Before joining Roman Meal, Mr. Jensen was vice-president of marketing for Duke Manufacturing Co., a maker of food service equipment. Earlier, he was senior vice-president of marketing for the Sara Lee bakery Group. Before that Mr. Jensen was with Pepperidge Farm, Inc.

Our other business imperatives are development of a total quality culture and building relationships with consumers, retailers and bakers."
Ms. Wakeman will retain her duties as vice-president of finance and administration. She has been with Roman Meal throughout her career, beginning as a programmer/analyst and then an information systems manager. Moving into accounting and finance as a budget manager, Ms. Wakeman was promoted to assistant controller and controller before she was elevated to vice-president of finance and administration.
