HORSHAM, PA. — Arnold Food Company, brand owned by George Weston Bakeries, has introduced five natural breads — 100% whole wheat, soft wheat, wheat, health nut and flax & fiber.
The new products are designed to fit into the health and wellness market and are made with no high fructose corn syrup, no trans fats and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. Additionally, each variety is less than 100 calories per slice and is low-fat and cholesterol-free.
"Other natural breads can be too hard or too bitter," said Jennifer Hartley, business director of bread innovation at George Weston Bakeries. "Our expert bakers have worked hard to ensure our customers don't have to trade off taste and texture for health."
