CANAJOHARIE, N.Y. — Beech-Nut Nutrition Corp. is building a new production facility in Florida, N.Y. and will move corporate headquarters from St. Louis to the new site.
The new facility will be 635,000 square feet and will be located in the Florida Industrial Park. It will replace the Canajoharie and Fort Plain plants and will be located 22 miles from the Canajoharie facility.
The state of New York is offering Beech-Nut financial incentives for the project, and the overall investment for the facility is estimated to be $124 million.
If everything goes as anticipated, the new facility could open as early as fall 2009, Beech-Nut said.
