OMAHA — ConAgra Foods, Inc. said it expects earnings per share for fiscal year 2007 to be higher than anticipated, with the company now expecting more than the $1.28 to $1.33 range it previously announced.

The higher earnings per share are a result of strong results from the trading and merchandising segment during the fourth quarter.

ConAgra will provide fourth-quarter financial details on June 27.

Additionally, ConAgra has appointed Ruth Ann Marshall and Andrew J. Schindler to the board of directors, bringing the total size of the board to 13 members.
