DALLAS — CBC Restaurant Corp., which owns and operates Corner Bakery Café restaurants, is partnering with The Rose Group as a new franchise partner.
The Rose Group plans to add 25 new Corner Bakery Café restaurants in the Philadelphia and South New Jersey area in coming years.
"With an almost 20% growth rate in the past 4 years and no signs of slowing down, fast-casual dining is one of the fastest growing segments in our industry," said Harry T. Rose, chairman and chief executive officer of The Rose Group. "We view this relationship with Corner Bakery Café as an important milestone in the growth of our company, giving us the opportunity to expand our current success into the bakery café concept."
There are currently 98 Corner Bakery Café restaurants across the country, with the first location opening in 1991.
The announcement comes after CBC Restaurant Corp. launched a strategic franchise development program last fall. The Rose Group currently owns and operates 54 Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar locations in Pennsylvania, Baltimore and New Jersey.
