DEFIANCE, OHIO — Diehl Food Ingredients, Inc. is introducing a line of certified organic specialty powders called Diehl Organics.
The line includes a powdered creamer called Jerzee Organic, and a powdered vegetable fat called Centennial Organic. The products are trans-fat and cholesterol free and are dairy protein-based systems that use specially processed organic skim milk solids, leading to functionality and stability for a high fat creamer system.
"With the introduction of the Diehl Organics product line, food manufacturers now have access to new ingredient systems and formulation tools that had not been available to date; this allows them to expand their organic product line offerings with new certified organic products like dry coffee creamers, cappuccinos, hot chocolates, chai-tea beverages, dry cream-based soups and dips, and baking mixes, to name but a few," said Dennis Reid, vice president of marketing and technology for Diehl.
