ZURICH, SWITZERLAND — Barry Callebaut, a manufacturer of cocoa and chocolate products, signed a memorandum of understanding with Cadbury Schweppes P.L.C. under which Barry Callebaut will supply Cadbury’s production sites in Poland. As a result of the outsourcing, Cadbury’s supply volumes of cocoa liquor and liquid chocolate will double to approximately 30,000 tonnes a year.

Deliveries are expected to start by the end of fiscal 2007-08, the companies said.

"The (memorandum of understanding) with Cadbury Schweppes is another milestone in our strategy to take advantage of the ongoing outsourcing trend," said Patrick De Maeseneire, chief executive officer, Barry Callebaut.
